Heather Thomson Speedway Art

Heather Thomson is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, based in the west of Scotland.  A renowned artist, Heather was commissioned to produce the illustrations for three book covers - Jim Airey for '50 Days of Speedway, Sunderland in 1964', Ronnie Moore for 'Shelbourne Speedway, Dublin 1950-1954' and then Peter Robinson and Peter Craven for 'Liverpool Speedway 1928-1960'.  Giclee art prints on textured paper are available and can be ordered via Speedway PMB.

Ronnie Moore, the fans' favourite at Shelbourne Park, Dublin in the early 1950s, where he doubled-up while riding for the Wimbledon Dons in south-west London.

 

 

 

Alan Grahame, England international, who won 16 major team honours in a career spanning 25 years from 1973 to 1998, in which he served Birmingham, Cradley Heath, Swindon, Stoke, Oxford, Peterborough and Hull.
